Matcha Lattes

I’ve been deep in creamy drinks this week, and matcha has been such a satisfying subject to explore.

A few things I learned along the way:
– You have to be quick. Let the matcha paste sit too long, and the texture turns bitty.
– Milk first or matcha first changes everything. The gradients, the contrast, the way the drink moves.
– Loads of ice give the swirls a constrained area to play.

Even the most familiar drinks have these fleeting, beautiful moments. You just have to look close enough.
