Pink Food Photography
Pink creeps into my food photography more than any other colour. It’s joyful, bold and full of energy, and I love how it instantly lifts a scene. Whether I am shooting hot dogs, cherries or a fizzy drink, pink adds a hit of personality that can turn a simple subject into something playful and eye-catching.
What surprises people is that I rarely wear pink myself. It is not a colour I reach for in fashion, homewares or even notebooks. But in front of the camera, it becomes a completely different tool — a backdrop that flatters ingredients, contrasts beautifully with greens and yellows, and helps tell a story that feels modern rather than sugary sweet.
I think that is why I keep coming back to it. Pink lets me explore palettes that feel bright without being girly, fun without being loud, and a little unexpected each time. So while you probably will not spot me in pink shoes any time soon, you will almost always find a shade of it hiding somewhere in my portfolio.
